Bass Eating Goldfish

Largemouth bass are known to eat a extremely wide variety of prey. Everything from worms, lizards, frogs, other fish, and even birds are known to be on the menu for largemouth. In captivity and occasionally as fishing bait – feeder goldfish are used to entice bass into biting.

Goldfish do not stand a chance against a largemouth and a bass can easily devour 8 or more small goldfish in one setting.

The bass darts in with decisiveness and the first goldfish disappears.
If you look closely you can see the eye of the bass move to locate the goldfish before the largemouth inhales the fish.
